Dr. Don Fitz-Ritson has been practicing since 1979 and is the Director of the Advanced Therapeutic Centre. He has been working with Lasers since 1984 and through his research, co-invented a laser and invented protocols which received 7 Health Canada Approvals for dealing effectively with acute and chronic musculo-skeletal pain conditions. This involves combining the healing effects of the Laser with gentle, but specific exercises to restore function and rehabilitate the injured area.
Dr. Fitz-Ritson is a past Assistant Professor at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He was President of the Posture Research Institute, Chairman, the Chiropractic Sciences Department and taught for 10 years at the College. He has published seventeen scientific papers and three definitive chapters in texts on the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of spinal trauma. He has presented research papers at international conferences in Canada, United States and England, and has lectured in Europe, England, United States, Canada, Hawaii and the West Indies.
Dr. Fitz-Ritson is a founding member of the Canadian Chiropractic Rehabilitation Specialists and a member of the Research Review Committee. He is currently researching and developing a new laser and continues to improve methods for healing and treating pain conditions.
Dr. Amrita Pinto is a graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Psychology from the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Kharkar has been trained in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture (McMaster University) and has a keen interest in treating chronic pain populations.
Dr. Kharkar practices Diversified Chiropractic Technique. She is a certified Active Release Techniques (ART®) provider. She has also been trained in Activator Techniques for neck, back, pelvic, and extremity joint manipulations. As well, she has completed certification in Graston Technique, an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization that can effectively heal tissues showing soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.
Dr. Kharkar is currently a health and fitness writer for Suhaag magazine and a running coach for the Running Room, where she is able to share her passion for healthy living. She is committed to helping individuals achieve their nutritional and fitness goals.
She continues to be a life-long learner and uses a research-based approach to provide the most excellent quality of care for her patients.
Dr. Stephanie Kim is passionately committed to helping people get healthier. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree summa cum laude from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago. She also holds an honors undergraduate degree in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto.
